Found my father's old home

The breakthrough came from the discovery of a letter sent from Malaysia. The letter gave a misspelled name of my cousin and a name of a village in Baishi. On 10/31/2009, the day of Halloween, my Xinyi friends visited the hard-to-reach place. Below is compiled from their reports (which were reposted partially from Xinyi website following this post).

Only a few families lives there. My cousin lives beyond the upper right corner of the picture, because at the time they did not know the location and their car couldn't go beyond.

吴家屋前的山泉水, 在山坡上散居着几户人家, 片中最右上角的位置（竹尾的位置）是吴家所处的位置，拍摄的时候我们并不知道，所以他们的家没有进入相片中。

Looking down from my cousin's house, one can see the incoming road. Only one house is up here and was demolished in half (It is not my father's old house yet). Motorcycles belong to Xinyi friends.

从吴家屋往前看，片中下部的路就是我们来时的路。 吴生的“老家”位于小村半山腰上，原来居住的一幢泥砖房被拆去了一半。

Now my cousin's family is building a new 150 square meter cement brick house next to the old house.
吴生“家人”凿山扩大住宅建筑用地，在泥房的右侧建起约150平方的水泥结构的砖房, 砖房正在建设中。

My cousin, his wife and 3 grandkids live here.
(Younger people working in big cities is typical in China)

In front of my cousin's house, it is a beautiful scenery of mountain village.

Just in front of the house is the location of the old family house which is at upper left field. The old house is gone but a black olive (name may be translated wrong) tree planted by my father and his brothers is still there.

吴家以前所处的位置，也就是片中上面那块田，那棵黑榄树的地方。
